BSU is listed for the third year in a row among TOP-100 universities of Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018 in Metallurgical Engineering (position 76-100). According to the results of the institutional ranking 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings BSU occupied position 801+. More than 50 research centers and laboratories conduct research in the field of nanotechnologies, radiation physics, IT, and living systems.
The priority development areas of BSU: advanced technology for development and synthesis of industrial-use nanomaterials; nanotechnology and nanomaterials for Biology, Medicine and Pharmacology; application of satellite, geographical, information and communication technologies for efficient and sustainable land management aimed at social and economic development; issues arising from human development, social progress and scientific advances.
