The ocean bottom seismometer is meant for investigation of Earth crust, local and global seismicity on sea and ocean bottom, geophysical studies aimed at oil field search and development in hardly accessible areas.
Broad band ( 100 sec – 50 Hz) non-expensive molecular-electronic seismometer with long autonomic recording time (13 months), depth range upto 6 km, relatively small size ( 43 cm sphere) and weight ( 30 kg), automatic self-test, clock synchonization through the instrument case as well as wireless instrument managment and fast data downloading.
