Penza State University (PSU) has 20,454 students (1,500 of them are foreigners), 50 foreign partner institutions, 9 examining boards, 14 scientific journals. PSU is one of the key participants in instrument-making, biomedical and IT-clusters of the Penza region. The University is a participant of some technology platforms, such as National Supercomputing Technology Platform; Technologies of Mechatronics, Embedded Control Systems, Radio-Frequency Identification, and Robotics; Medicine of the Future; National Space Technology Platform; National Software Platform; BioTech2030. The developments of the University scientists are appreciated by the Skolkovo Innovation Center, and are in great demand by enterprises of the Military-Industrial Complex; Moscow and Yekaterinburg enterprises are among the customers. PSU is a concentration center for regional competencies and development strategy, participating in the formation of scientific, innovative, industrial, and cluster policy of the region.
